FAQs
Yes, as long as the job is not too far from Surrey, the price for make up with lashes is £40 and without lashes is £35.
I would firstly have a quick consultation and go over with them their desired look, to show any inspirational images they had in mind/if they had anything in mind. And then before applying the make up discuss what I had in mind that would be suitable for their individual face shape, skin type and complexion to ensure I am highlighting their features and making them feel their best.
I have a Bachelor (hons) Degree in Business & Arts Management and an ITEC level 3 in Make up and Hair Styling. I also have various Beauty qualifications.
I have wanted to do make up since I was 15 years old. I created an art portfolio based on fashion and make up to get into an Art University where I received my degree. Following this I combined other qualifications specifically in make up and beauty and moved to London to pursue my dream.
I have worked with a wide range of clients from VIP's to actors and actresses to people attending fancy dress parties. I have worked with brides, extras, and people attending proms. I cater to everybody's needs.
A recent project I enjoyed working on was for a huge beauty event called Salon International, where I was able to create creative colourful looks for the models working at this event being showcased in front of hundreds of people. I worked at this event for two days.
I would also advise to ask your potential make up artist for previous works/experience, ask them if they are insured, what qualifications they have and to have a conversation over the phone. Try to meet with your artist before a big job to go over any queries you have and to agree on the final look together.
Questions I believe are important for clients to think through before speaking with a make up artist would include:
What theme of make up you are looking to achieve? Maybe have some inspiration images available, or be able to give examples of films etc that you liked linked to your project.
What is your style? Do you prefer natural low coverage make up, or do you prefer make up with high coverage and more dramatic. A make up artist will be able to advise what make up will suit your individual skin type but try to be able to explain your personal style to your artist to help to achieve a look designed for you.
